Position Overview

A global semiconductor and embedded systems company is seeking a Digital Design Architect to lead the development of next-generation silicon IC solutions for advanced connectivity and embedded applications.

This role spans the complete digital IC development lifecycle, from architectural definition and RTL implementation to verification, synthesis, timing closure, and silicon bring-up. The position also includes technical leadership responsibilities, mentoring engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional design activities.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Architecture & RTL Design

• Define and develop digital architectures for next-generation semiconductor products.
• Lead RTL implementation using hardware description languages such as:
  • SystemVerilog
  • Verilog
  • VHDL
• Drive block-level and top-level digital design activities.

ASIC Development & Timing Closure

• Collaborate with physical design teams to achieve:
  • Synthesis objectives
  • Timing closure
  • Design constraint compliance
• Ensure robust ASIC implementation throughout the development flow.

Functional Verification

• Define and execute comprehensive verification strategies using:
  • UVM-based methodologies
  • Directed testing
  • Formal verification techniques
• Ensure functional correctness and design robustness before tape-out.

Requirements & Documentation

• Translate system-level requirements into detailed design specifications.
• Maintain traceability and compliance across the design lifecycle.
• Contribute to architecture documentation, design reviews, and milestone readiness assessments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • Analog design teams
  • Embedded software engineers
  • Systems engineering groups
  • Validation and test teams
• Support seamless integration across hardware and software domains.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as a technical lead or project lead for digital IC development initiatives.
• Coordinate engineering tasks, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in digital IC or ASIC design.
• Strong expertise in:
  • RTL implementation
  • Functional verification
  • ASIC development flows
• Proven track record of successful tape-outs and silicon bring-up activities.
• Proficiency with:
  • SystemVerilog (preferred)
  • Simulation and synthesis tools
  • Static timing analysis tools
• Strong understanding of:
  • ASIC design methodologies
  • Timing constraints and closure
  • Verification flows and design integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional hardware development teams.
• Familiarity with advanced connectivity or embedded semiconductor products.
• Experience with UVM and formal verification methodologies.
• Background in full-chip integration and complex SoC environments.
