Technical Project Lead – 6G NTN Subsidy Projects

Start date: ASAP
Experience: 3–5 years
Contract Duration: 12 months
Working arrangements: Work must be done from the territory of Germany, 2-3 days in Hamburg office ( Munchen also a possibility, but not preferred)

Language requirements: English (German good to have)

Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Project Lead to manage external collaboration and subsidy-funded projects in the area of 6G, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), and satellite communications. The role requires a combination of project management skills and a solid technical understanding of wireless communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage 6G/NTN research and innovation projects.
• Coordinate with external partners, research institutes, and project consortia.
• Organize workshops and represent NXP in collaborative projects.
• Track project schedules, budgets, contracts, and resource allocation.
• Prepare project status reports for management and funding authorities.
• Work with NXP business and marketing teams to develop technology demonstrators.
• Share market and technical insights from research projects to support product roadmaps.

Required Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in project management, R&D projects, or telcommunications.
• Good understanding of 5G, 6G, NTN, and satellite communication technologies.
• Familiarity with the telecom industry, standardization activities, and emerging 6G trends.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and work packages.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
• Ability to bridge technical discussions and project execution.
