About the Role

We are seeking a Computing Technology Expert to join an advanced research and technology strategy team in Cambridge.

This role focuses on identifying long-term technology trends and strategic opportunities across computing and artificial intelligence. You will combine deep technical expertise with external technology scouting, academic engagement, and strategic collaboration.

The successful candidate will work across emerging computing architectures, AI infrastructure, accelerators, interconnects, memory systems, high-performance computing, and hardware-software co-design. You will also build relationships with universities, startups, investors, and technology partners to identify new research, partnership, investment, and innovation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse long-term technical challenges and emerging trends across advanced computing and AI technologies.
Identify strategically important research directions, technologies, organisations, and technical experts.
Conduct deep technical assessments across computing architecture, AI infrastructure, and related systems technologies.
Work with international research and engineering teams to define short- and long-term technology roadmaps.
Identify new opportunities for internal research programmes, external collaboration, technology investment, or strategic partnerships.
Maintain awareness of emerging academic research, startup activity, and technology developments across the computing ecosystem.
Engage with universities, research institutes, startups, venture capital organisations
