Process Engineer – Wet chemical and thin film processing

The assignment

Execute and optimize wet chemical processing for advanced material applications, including electrochemical and chemical deposition of functional coatings and surface engineering.
Support thin film deposition processing using techniques such as sputtering, thermal evaporation, e-beam deposition, atomic layer deposition (ALD), and molecular layer deposition (MLD).
Analyze process performance, identify technical challenges, and proactively communicate risks, limitations, and improvement opportunities to project teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with researchers to translate material requirements into robust and scalable process solutions.
Continuously expand technical expertise by learning and implementing new processing methods and characterization techniques.

Required knowledge and skills

Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience in wet (electro)chemical deposition, thin-film processing, and materials development.
Ideally between 3 – 8 years of experience in a similar position.
A first relevant experience in Lab and Chemical processing is absolutely mandatory.
A first experience in cleanroom environment is a plus.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Solid understanding of chemical processing principles and the interactions between materials, processes, and device performance.
Strong willingness to learn and adopt new techniques, tools, and methodologies in a rapidly evolving R&D environment.
Effective team player with excellent communication, networking, and reporting skills, capable of collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Self-driven and quality-oriented professional with a structured approach to problem solving, able to work both independently and within teams.
