Job Description

As a Senior Researcher, you are expected to lead high-impact projects that drive both applied and theoretical advancements in AI. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at setting research directions, developing innovative solutions, and fostering collaborations. Senior Researchers are passionate about making a significant impact through their work and thrive in environments that value initiative and leadership.
Our team operates in two main directions:
 

• Applying AI to the design and optimization of semiconductors
• Conducting fundamental research that supports both our applications and the broader scientific community

Current areas of interest include large language models (LLMs), optimization methods for deep learning, reinforcement learning (RL), and generative models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead significant research projects in machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Develop and implement novel algorithms and solutions for team and company initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and research interns
• Set and refine research directions in collaboration with team leadership
• Build and maintain collaborations with internal and external partners
• Secure research funding through grant writing and partnership development
• Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals
• Stay at the forefront of advancements in AI and related fields

Qualifications & Expectations Required:

• PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; or equivalent research experience
• Extensive publication record in top conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL)
• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
• Proven ability to lead research projects and work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and influence research direction Preferred:
• Experience in optimization, reinforcement learning, and/or large language models (LLMs)
• Experience in chip design and applied AI research
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
• Track record of securing research funding and building successful collaborations
