Automation Engineer Frontline shift Support

Our client has an aseptic drug product facility, specialising in secondary manufacturing activities Formulation, Vial/Syringe Filling, Lyophilisation and Packaging.

This company is developing the capability to produce all its medicines in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin, helping to ensure continuity of supply of medicines as they expand internationally.
ETR are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to expand an onsite production support service we provide our client.
This is a shift position from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. The shift is 5-cycle (24/7). The successful candidate shall join our team which provides 24 hour front line support cover to the Inspection and Packaging Area onsite.
As a contract, the position offers excellent rates and the opportunity for a long-term placement.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Adherence to GXP procedures on site in relation to all aspects of the position
•
Provide real-time front line support to the production group on their manufacturing/IS systems.
•
Document and track resolution of issues and tasks.
•
Aide the identification/implementation of system improvements and corrective actions.
•
Aide the coaching of operators and maintenance technicians in the effective use of the control systems.
•
Manage and execute change controls for continuous improvement projects.
•
Execute and document preventative maintenance tasks performed on the automation systems.
Skills and Education:
•
Third level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent
•
2-5 years’ experience working with automated control systems preferably in the Life Sciences/ Pharma or Medical Device sectors
•
Excellent communication skills
•
PLC/SCADA/HMI experience with preference for following technologies: Siemens PLC/HMI, Rockwell PLC/HMI/SCADA, Elau PLC, Jetter PLC, Aveva/Wonderware Intouch, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus and OSIsoft PI Data Historian.
•
Experience with Vision Systems, Barcode printers/scanners and serialization systems associated with automated packaging lines an advantage.
•
Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, S95 industry standards and 21 CFR Part 11
